On 14–16 October 2026, the CARING NATURE project participated in Welfair – the Healthcare Making Event in Rome, contributing to discussions on innovation and sustainability in the healthcare sector.

Welfair 2026: Shaping the future of healthcare

Held at Fiera Roma, Welfair 2026 brought together healthcare professionals, public institutions, researchers, technology providers and industry representatives to exchange perspectives and explore innovative solutions for the future of healthcare.

Built around the concept of healthcare as a collective effort, Welfair promotes collaboration between medical research, technological development, healthcare governance and industry. The event addressed several key challenges facing healthcare systems, including environmental sustainability, digital transformation, safety, prevention and the adoption of innovative healthcare solutions.

CARING NATURE’s contribution to the event

The CARING NATURE project was represented by Pasquale Mari, Project Manager, who presented the project during a dedicated panel session attended by approximately 30 participants, including healthcare providers and suppliers from the healthcare sector.

The presentation offered an opportunity to introduce CARING NATURE’s objectives and activities, highlighting the project’s contribution to advancing environmental sustainability in healthcare and encouraging dialogue with relevant stakeholders.

In addition, a dedicated event booklet was developed, featuring three innovative solutions, including one from the CARING NATURE project. The booklet was presented during the event and distributed to participants, providing further visibility to the project’s activities and showcasing practical approaches to supporting a more sustainable healthcare sector.

Fostering dialogue for more sustainable healthcare

Participation in Welfair 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of CARING NATURE, share knowledge and engage with healthcare stakeholders on the challenges and opportunities associated with the sector’s environmental transition.

By bringing together healthcare providers, suppliers and innovation actors, the event offered a relevant platform to promote collaboration and encourage the adoption of innovative solutions that can contribute to a more sustainable and resilient healthcare system.
