The 10th Green Design Biennale was held in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 16 October to 20 October 2024. Architects, researchers and experts from all over Europe were invited to address challenges in circular design, digitalisation and adaptative reuse. Especially, the aim was to explore the state of the art in sustainable design and challenges that architecture, urban design, product-design, multimedia and production industries are facing in the 21st century.
This important event, founded by our partner Elma Durmisevic from 4D Architects Amsterdam, also included a dedicated workshop to discuss the CARING NATURE’s COMPASS solution, an AI-powered toolkit for decision support and management of Green and Resilient healthcare facilities and developed by 4D Architects Amsterdam.
COMPASS was presented to experts, including CARING NATURE partner archipelago architects, board members of the Architects Council of Europe (ACE), and architects from Switzerland, Croatia, France, and Serbia.
The Architects Council of Europe (ACE) committed to providing feedback, protocols, and guidelines to support the development of COMPASS. Additionally, a group of architects specialized in hospital design will be established as a core professional team to provide feedback and help disseminate the results of COMPASS.
This marks a significant step forward in building a greener healthcare sector.
