On Monday, 9 December 2024, CARING NATURE organized a webinar that brought together over 50 participants, including project partners and members of the Reference Stakeholder Group (RSG).
During the first year of the project, RSG members actively supported project partners in assessing stakeholder needs and defining solution requirements for a greener healthcare sector. They participated in several surveys and attended project webinars to share their expertise and provide feedback on the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for healthcare.
The workshop held on 9 December 2024 had 2 main objectives :
- To showcase the impact of RSG members’ contributions to CARING NATURE’s intermediate results.
- To provide RSG members, as potential early adopters, with an exclusive presentation of CARING NATURE’s methodology and solutions.
In particular, our technical coordinator Paolo Finocchi (RINA) explained how feedback from RSG members—collected during five workshops—was used to refine project solutions. Chiara Cadeddu (Erasmus University Rotterdam), Laura Lorenzon (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore), and Elma Durmisevic (4D Architects Amsterdam) presented intermediate results, focusing on (i) a new European sustainability framework, (ii) medical waste management, and (iii) the carbon footprint of healthcare buildings.
Finally, our project manager, Pasquale Mari, outlined the next phases of the project, emphasizing the continued role of the RSG. Two workshops are already planned for January 2025 and Spring 2025 to support the development and validation of CARING NATURE’s solutions.
