The fourth Smart Cities in Smart Regions Conference was held on October 9–10, 2024, at the LAB University of Applied Sciences campus in Lahti, Finland. This year’s themes focused on Solutions for Systemic Change, Smart Health and Wellbeing Innovations, and Design for Sustainable Business and Responsible Consumption.

The event was jointly organized by LAB University of Applied Sciences and the City of Lahti, in collaboration with key partners including Avans University, LUT University, our partner the Regional Council of Päijät-Häme, Lahti University Campus, buildingSMART Finland, and Forum Virium Helsinki. The conference aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration for more sustainable and resilient urban development.

In this context, the Wellbeing Services County of Päijät-Häme, responsible for the piloting and validating of CARING NATURE’s soultions in Finland, presented the project to around 300 participants, especially policy makers, health experts and researchers, engineers, and representatives from EU networks.
